Confessions of a Colorist: Hobbies to Happy Work

Okay, confession time! You know I love to share the stories behind my work, but I've never really told you how I went from being a hobbyist to a coloring book creator. For a long time, my passions were far from the quiet world of paper and pencils—they were all about the thrill of competition, whether it was on the bowling lane or at the dartboard.

Yet, somewhere along the way, I realized I had another passion that I had been keeping to myself. I had started creating my own coloring pages because I couldn't find anything I truly wanted to color. It was just a personal creative project—a quiet corner of my world where I could create exactly what I wanted. I didn't see it as a business, just a beautiful way to unwind.

I looked at the stash of designs I had made for myself and had a crazy thought: what if I shared them? It felt like a risk, but I decided to take the leap and see if my little collection of pages could bring peace and joy to others.

The most rewarding part of this journey has been the incredible feeling of creating something and putting it out into the world with the hope that it will bring others joy.

My process still starts with the simple desire to create something beautiful. But now, I craft each design knowing that it's an invitation for you to find your own colorful calm.

Happy coloring, everyone! 🎨

What's a hobby you've turned into something more? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below!
